Maria Jaramillo

Maria Jaramillo is the Division Director for Financial Empowerment at National Disability Institute (NDI). Maria designs and implements initiatives that strengthen the financial health of low-income communities. She has spearheaded pilots that test new ideas and innovative approaches to increase financial inclusion in the US and in developing countries.

Prior to joining NDI, Maria carried out a secondment in the Office of Financial Education at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Before that she worked for the nonprofits Microfinance Opportunities and ACCION providing technical assistance to banks and microfinance institutions.

Maria holds an M.A. in International Relations from SAIS – Johns Hopkins University.
